Sync Bio
Head of Science Operations
Sync Bio provides human cell culturing and screening as a CRO service. Our automated labs use custom hardware to acquire massive datasets involving millions or billions of cells. We perform fluorescence imaging and single-cell RNA sequencing to collect data for the next generation of computational models, including
virtual cell models.
We are hiring a Head of Science Operations to supervise our CRO operations. This job will involve working with customers on experimental design and reviewing captured data to verify that experiments are running successfully.
The Head of Science Operations will also perform research, including exploring and developing new methods for better understanding cell dynamics and inter-cell signalling. The role will involve working with customers to build complex models of single cell behavior and larger-scale organoid/tissue behavior. We plan to collect the world’s largest data sets in these domains, enabling new discoveries in the treatment of cancer and other diseases.
Responsibilities
- working with customers to define projects
- reviewing and revising lab protocols
- supervising project execution on automated our lab hardware
- troubleshooting human cell cultures and other aspects of the experiments
- reviewing and analyzing captured data
- reaching out to new potential customers to learn about their goals
